Wheels Assignment
Mood Board
I started by creating a mood board to guide the aesthetics and function of my project. I wanted to ensure my bike was durable, nimble and confidence inspiring all while being aesthetically pleasing.
Bike Ideation
During my ideation process I went through and make a version of almost every style of mountain bike on the market to help me decide which I wanted to pursue. I made various full suspension mountain bikes, a cross country bike, a fat bike, and a racing bike. I ended up continuing with a full suspension downhill bike style.
The final bike features a Fox 40 / DPX2 shock setup with a Shimano XR-1 drivetrain for smooth shifting
